The challenge
Generic booking tools couldn't handle the real rules.
An independent tutor was booking sessions by text and a paper calendar. Off-the-shelf scheduling tools could take a single appointment, but they fell apart on the rules that actually matter for an in-person tutor: standing weekly sessions with the same student, travel time between locations so back-to-back bookings don't collide, a protected lunch break, and a clean way to see the whole week at a glance.
The result was double-bookings, impossible drives, and time lost to manual scheduling that should have been spent teaching.
The approach
Build the scheduling logic around real life.
We mapped the actual constraints of the day, then built them into the booking engine instead of bolting on workarounds. The app enforces the rules automatically, so a booking that would break the schedule simply can't be made.

Scheduling moved from texts and a paper calendar to a single app that enforces the real rules of the day. Impossible bookings stopped happening by design, recurring students were handled in one pass instead of week by week, and the admin view replaced the mental math of fitting everything together.
