About

Software that fits how you already work.

Hatch is a New Jersey custom software studio. We build small and medium businesses a real app, designed around their exact workflow and shipped in days, not quarters. Here's the why, and who's behind it.

The why

Most small businesses don't have a software problem.

They have a "we've duct-taped nine tools together and pray nothing breaks" problem.

A spreadsheet three people edit at once. A SaaS subscription you only use ten percent of. A process that lives entirely in one person's head. It works, until you're scaling and the cracks turn into lost hours, lost data, and lost revenue.

I started Hatch to fix that. We build custom apps for small businesses, shaped around exactly how you operate: your workflow, your language, your edge cases. Not a template you have to bend yourself to fit. And we don't disappear for six months to do it.

Custom software used to mean slow and expensive, so "just buy another tool" almost always won. That math has changed. When you can have an app built around your business in days, building becomes the smarter call far sooner than most owners realize.

How we work

A simple, honest process.

1. Map how you run

We learn how your business actually operates today, end to end, before designing anything.

2. Hatch the app

We build a custom app around that reality, not a generic box you adapt to.

3. Live in days

You're using it fast, then we refine it against real usage instead of guessing up front.

4. You own it

The code is yours outright. No lock-in, no per-seat fees to us, no hostage situation.

The founder

Neil Busque

Neil is the founder of Hatch and the person you'll actually work with. He's a New Jersey based software builder who has shipped real, production applications across construction operations, scheduling and booking, AI-assisted CRM, and productivity tooling. Hatch is the studio built on a simple belief: a small business should be able to own software made for it, and have it in days, not quarters.

Operations CRMs

Custom CRMs and operations systems that replace spreadsheet sprawl for service businesses.

Booking & scheduling apps

Client-facing booking systems with real-world logic: recurring sessions, buffers, and availability rules.

AI-assisted tools

Apps with built-in assistants and automation that do the busywork instead of adding more of it.

See a few of these builds on the work page, or read how a build runs in the FAQ.
